Mapping zebrafish cell migration in vivo

The goal of this project is to map the dynamic behaviour of cells during morphogenesis of the zebrafish. We apply state of the art motion estimation for deforming surfaces, as developed in Kirisits et al (2015) and Lang & Scherzer (2017), to investigate cell migration in large numbers of developing embryos. In comparison to other methods, we are able to drastically reduce the required computational effort, thereby allowing for automated analysis at large scale.
