Height gap of the planar Brownian motion

Schramm and Sheffield introduced the notion of height gap for the continuum Gaussian free field (GFF) in dimension 2. It turns out that this height gap has a natural interpretation through clusters of Brownian loops arising in Brownian loop soups representations of the GFF .
