Excess Folding for Transient Random Walks, Simple or Branching

In a two talks presentation we propose to explain how random walks organize to produce excess folding, and how to estimate the tails of their local times on two basic examples: the simple random walk, and branching random walks.

The first talk will present motivation, models and results, whereas the second will focus on branching random walk and highlights differences with simple random walk, either at the level of hitting times, or at the level of the tails of local times both in transient dimensions and in critical ones.
