We would like to congratulate CMIH Investigator Mihaela van der Schaar on the launch of her new Cambridge Centre for AI in Medicine (CCAIM).

The Centre is funded by industry partners AstraZeneca and GSK, and is using AI and ML to solve some of the most intractable problems in biomedical science, turbocharge medical discovery and, critically, revolutionise healthcare delivery. The overarching aim of the Centre is a breakthrough in the understanding and treatment of complex diseases, with the more immediate goals of transforming personalised healthcare delivery – including the effective administration of treatments over time – and pioneering, next-generation clinical trials.
